Communication is an important part of every human activity at present. Whether it is a recreational outdoor activity or a social gathering or even other group occasion involving a number of participants, the need for disseminating information and connecting the awareness of each individual is important to the success and even safety of all. For this concern, an effective and reliable communication medium is highly important.
Not the best arguments, but I get what he was trying to get at. Still, some people might hear this and see the poor, shaky structure and conclude that this is atheism.

Ahhh… i gotcha. True… keep in mind he’s talking completely off the top of his head though. It’s not like he’s in a formal dissertation or debate format.
I guess i’m assuming he’s basing it on inherent morals.
I’m not arguing that. I’m saying Adam is making a truth claim that he isn’t allowed to make by his own admission. He never says “and I know this is totally based on my morals” or “post-englihtenment western society has led me to believe.” He claims his truths citing deductive reasoning in vacuum.
Lines like that are extremely subjective… and the point is, we use our own brains and inherent morals as to where to draw each line.
The bible gets its morals from the Bronze Age-humans that wrote it, not the other way around.
Adam Corolla can deduce that genital mutilation is wrong. Im guessing child molestation and genocide are wrong too. Who’s debating that its right? So, is a wife murdering an abusive husband right or wrong? What if he only hit her once? How many hits until its right? Its arbitrary, you tit. You cant just dismiss it as desconstructionism and then make claims based on subjective rationale. He steamrolled right past that one as if his audience would be too dumb or drunk to pick up on it.

Atheism is a leap of faith, just like the belief in a God and an afterlife. That’s why religion prevails the world over………it’s easier to have faith in an afterlife than to have faith in “zero.” Don’t assume that just because you got your GED that “thinking” people discount a God out of hand. Intellectuals throughout history have found no conflict between life on earth and an afterlife.

@AbeChang2 …. People copied the book (by hand) for centuries so that their families could have the word. Under the threat of losing their life, they did this without profit, only for the benifit of others. Maybe there is more to it than you see at first.
Well, I wrote a book once. It was one page long. Here: “God has revealed this much: the universe floats in a bowl of cosmic pudding. People will mock you for your knowledge of the truth.” So I always find conFIRmation when people disagree with me, too.

I am an atheist for any god claimed to be known by man, or a theistic god. As for a deistic god I am agnostic.
At least you’re honest and humble. But with these biased Adam Corolla worshippers it’s impossible to have a reasonable debate because their ego takes up 3 lifetimes.
